Welcome to my blog!

This will serve as a longer-form journal of the events here in my workshop.  Rather than clutter my Twitch profile with my offline thoughts, rather than subject myself, my followers and fellow VTubers to the constraints of Twitter, I figured I would move some of them here.  Think of it as an extension of my /etc/motd and Twitter feeds, which I will dedicate to much more immediate matters concerning my channel.  I'll still post those here and on my Twitter, space on the latter permitting.  Another reason is that I do not think Facebook will let me create an account that's completely separate from my IRL one, and I do not want them mixed up.  That said, at this point in time, Facebook will be unlikely, at least for now.

Please note that Discord will not be a matter of consideration, though I still encourage you to check it out!  Links are in the sidebar and I'll likely get a signposting account for my socials, streams and videos soon.

Basically, the hierarchy will go something like this:

/etc/motd on Twitch:

  • Matters on either the day's stream or immediately-forthcoming streams
  • Matters of immediate urgency best addressed at stream-time
Length:  Very short

Twitter:

  • Matters of immediate, near-immediate or immediate-future urgency
  • Direct interaction with followers and/or other VTubers.
  • Matters of the day's or forthcoming streams, ranging from immediate to foreseeable-future
  • Random quick thoughts
  • Shitposts
Length:  Single or multiple tweets; whatever works at the time

Blog

  • Deeper dives into topics and issues that affect me as a VTuber or VTubers and/or streamers in general specifically or macrocosm issues that end up including us
  • News concerning my streaming and VTuberdom in various degrees of urgency
  • Personal life news (within reason)
  • Items I have posted on /etc/motd on my Twitch page
  • Any items I feel are better-served being posted here than the other to locations
Length:  Very short to very long

I wanted to do this so I could keep things a bit on the tidy side, especially on my Twitch feed, while still allowing interaction with me.  Twitter's great for quick thoughts for any range of time while allowing for interaction with me.  But for much deeper discussion, neither forum is the best, so I will write those here.

Thanks for checking out my blog and hope to catch you on my next stream!
