Lots of news to report as well as some thoughts Hi, everyone! I'm sorry for being such a stranger on this blog. Things have been quite busy here at the Phloxworthy Workshop. In fact, there's a new branch here, which itself is a news item! Phloxworthy Labs open for business! I created a second channel on Twitch to try new technologies, techniques, software, hardware, and assets without messing up my main channel. This will also test updates to existing streaming stuff as well. Additionally, I'll try out other streaming setups, e.g. StreamLabs OBS (I'm mainly a StreamElements OBS.Live as well as bare-bones OBS girl here) so I can get the feel of it so I can render aid for those who are starting or are needing troubleshooting. I'm also testing technologies that can be used for others to make use of. That way we can all benefit from the work I'm doing! Today's a bit of a mixed bag, but I'm actually quite happy overall! Hi, all. I just wanted to talk about some recent events along with one that happens every year this date. For one, today would have been my dad's 77th birthday. He passed away 15 years ago this coming June 30th. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. Sometimes, I see him in my dream. I had tweeted recently that I had seen him in one of my dreams. I woke up crying. I think with all that's going on in my life that he'd be proud of me and he would still accept me even though I came out as trans in 2019. And with my VTuber career taking off, I'd like to think he would be really proud of me right now. Which brings me to recent events, which, fortunately are much happier to report. Being a helper in service of country and her citizens I hope everyone is doing well thus far. Well, given recent events, I really should include the disclaimer "given the circumstances". That said, I cannot help but be concerned--worried even--about what lies ahead. In the past, I felt that wondering whether what we witnessed last Wednesday could ever happened here was borrowing trouble, but I could not keep that thought out of my mind, even though I buried it deeply in the recesses of my mind. Needless to say, they paid all that borrowing back. Plus interest. A lot of interest. T.T However, lots of people have risen to the occasion to help others. One VTuber living near the Washington, DC area around the Capitol offered rides to those who needed to get home safely to comply with the curfew imposed after the events of last Wednesday. Welcome to my blog! This will serve as a longer-form journal of the events here in my workshop. Rather than clutter my Twitch profile with my offline thoughts, rather than subject myself, my followers and fellow VTubers to the constraints of Twitter, I figured I would move some of them here. Think of it as an extension of my /etc/motd and Twitter feeds, which I will dedicate to much more immediate matters concerning my channel. I'll still post those here and on my Twitter, space on the latter permitting. Another reason is that I do not think Facebook will let me create an account that's completely separate from my IRL one, and I do not want them mixed up. That said, at this point in time, Facebook will be unlikely, at least for now. Please note that Discord will not be a matter of consideration, though I still encourage you to check it out!
